Antiques saved in fire

A major fire at Manor Farm in Great Rollright destroyed a barn containing over 80 tonnes of straw and a combine harvester.

Fire crews from Hook Norton, Chipping Norton, Charlbury, Woodstock, and Eynsham battled the blaze from late Wednesday night until Friday morning. Although the barn was subdivided, firefighters managed to save antique furniture stored in one section, according to Station Officer Greg Smith.
