On Friday 8 May at 4.15pm emergency fire-fighting forces were called to the Swan at Streatley when fire broke out in the plant room.
10 fire appliances attended from Goring, Pangbourne, Wallingford and Newbury. 70 firefighters from Berkshire and South Oxfordshire took 3 hours to extinguish the blaze. Streatley Bridge was closed until 11 pm.
