One fire engine, two helicopters and three ...

On 29 January a digger being used to clear scrub from Nun’s Acre overturned trapping the operator’s leg underneath.

He shouted for help and this was immediately summoned by Alan Matthews of Nun’s Acre. Within 5 minutes, the fire engine arrived and a couple of minutes later the helicopter from the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Rescue Service at Benson also arrived and landed on the cricket field, to be followed by the yellow helicopter from Thruxton, Hampshire.
