Christmas trees again, and at last!

This year the Goring Gap Business Network (GGBN) has pulled together various organisations to make Goring High Street even more Christmassy than usual!

The GGBN has always believed that having a festive High Street is good for local shop owners and businesses, and makes it a cheerier place for residents. As in each of the last two years, there is a large tree and lights in Rectory Gardens. This year the tree has been kindly donated by David Slack, Managing Director of Yattendon Estates, one of, if not the, largest supplier of Christmas trees in the area. We are very grateful to David, who also brought the tree down to us at his own expense.

The 14 trees and lights you see for the first time on the High Street itself have been sponsored by Goring-onThames Parish Council, paid for by a generous donation from Goring Gap News and organised by the GGBN. Special mention and thanks must go to the Goring Fire Station who installed the High Street trees for us. Sean Absolom, Keith Avery, Kevin Thorne, Emily James, Darren Shears and Ryan Bonner gave up their Sunday morning to put them up.
