A community effort

A community effort By the time you read this, the Christmas trees above the shops on Goring High St will have been illuminated for several days.

These trees, which we hope bring a little Christmas cheer to our High Street, are a real example of a community pulling together: coordinated by your Business Editor, funded by the Parish Council and put up by the Goring Fire Station. We thank the volunteers from the Fire Service for their work. They would like to take this opportunity to remind everybody that they are keen to recruit new members: Over the past year, several people have left Goring Fire Station so there are now opportunities to join the team. If you work or live in Goring or the surrounding area, and you are interested in finding out more, pop along to the station on Icknield Road on a Wednesday evening between 7pm-9pm and speak to the friendly crew, without obligation.
